Rip to Police who killed during shoot-out with robbery suspects

Condolences to the family of a police officer who was killed during shoot-out with robbery suspects

During a shootout with robbery suspects, a police officer was killed, and six people were arrested. Kabokweni police were investigating reports that roughly 15 people were plotting a robbery at the guest house.

When the cops came, the criminals opened fire on them as they escaped.

“Unfortunately, the sergeant was shot and rushed to the hospital, where he was regretfully confirmed dead upon arrival.” “The sergeant has subsequently been identified as Enock Themba Nsimba, who was working at Kabokweni visible policing,” said Brig Selvy Mohlala, a police spokeswoman.

“One suspect was injured during the crossfire and is seeking medical care,” Mohlala added.

The search for the remaining suspects has subsequently begun. The six arrested suspects are expected to appear at the Kabokweni magistrate’s court on Monday to face charges of murder and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition

Mpumalanga police commissioner Lt-Gen Semakaleng Daphney Manamela expressed condolences to Nsimba’s family and urged the court to punish the criminals brutally
