The Columbus Stainless Bursary Programme is aimed at students who study and excel in engineering and other related sciences.

Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd. operates the only steel mill in Africa and is a proud member of the Acerinox Group of Companies. Columbus Stainless Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
Kindly note that prospective applicants need to satisfy all of the requirements of the Columbus Stainless Bursary to be considered for the programme:

Applications are open to South African citizens ONLY.
Applicants should be studying at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
Applicants who have successfully obtained their National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Applicants studying one of the above mentioned National Diplomas should be entering their second year of studies in 2021.
Applicants studying one of the above mentioned BSc. or B.Eng Degrees should be entering their second or fourth year of studies in 2021.
Applicants studying one of the above mentioned BSc. or B.Eng Degrees should boast an academic average of at least 60%.
Columbus Stainless Bursary Coverage
The Columbus Stainless Bursary Programme will provide successful applicants with financial assistance to help pay for the relevant National Diploma or Degree costs. This may take the form of:

Assistance in paying for the tuition fees.
Assistance in procuring the relevant textbooks.
Assistance in paying for food and accommodation.
Successful applicants will be enrolled into an extensive in-house training programme upon the completion of the relevant National Diploma or Degree.

The following supporting documentation should be attached to the applicant’s application form:

The applicant should attach a certified copy of their ID certificate.
The applicant should provide a certified copy of their National Senior Certificate (NSC).
The applicant should provide proof of registration for the year 2021 on the institute’s letterhead
The applicant should provide proof of their complete academic history on the institute’s letterhead.
Failure to adhere to the Columbus Stainless Bursary requirements will result in the application being rejected.
