JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a leading electrical services company, specializing in the electrical projects and maintenance fields, specifically in the petro-chem maintenance and construction, seeks to employ a qualified and suitable Generator Electrician.
Please note that this role does require a candidate with a background in construction and/or petro-chemical/forecourt maintenance and installations and would not suit candidates from a mining or heavy engineering background
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
You will have completed a recognised Trade tested as Electrician, coupled with 3+ years working experience on the service and maintenance of generators and generator systems.
In addition, preference will be given to applicants who have worked on complex generator control systems found in the petro-chemical or hazardous chemical sectors
You must have proven experience in overall site responsibility in terms of electrical infrastructure and team of staff on site, be able to effectively evaluate safety conditions and ensure compliance in accordance with legislation and standards.
You will be able to problem solve and diagnose faults speedily and within the confines of the customer SLA.
You will have a valid driver’s license, be able to travel, stay away from home for varied lengths of time on projects and work overtime to ensure deadlines are met
