Job Description
Overall Responsibilities of the Operations at Regional Part distribution center at Johannesburg –
Ensuring enhancements to Operational metrics in Safety, Delivery, Productivity, Speed – Order cycle times, Quality and Cost
Drive capacity Improvements by close working with Overseas engineering / facility teams with focus on proactive and Optimum Space utilization.
Performance enhancements with CI approach and delivering on Global part Operations LEAPS till FY26
Leading the Part support service Organization in AME region to drive customer satisfaction over Part availability, Peak season readiness, Order management, Claims and returns
Close co-ordination with Aftermarket sales, customer support and Branch team to ensure Part support and experience is in line with DSI Index expectation.
Responsible for Facility & Parts IT system Integration and co-ordination with Global Engineering teams and IT teams for new modernization tools and systems
Closely Liaison with Material Readiness & distribution ( MR&D ) function to for effective and optimum material planning to meet Target Fill rates as well as Inventory turns
Collaborate with MRD team to meet Goals on Fill rates, control Back orders and thus ensuring On time delivery of parts
Inventory Integrity & control to meet all statutory audit requirements within Deere and external third party audits
Ensure adherence to all Local laws, compliance related to warehouse Operations / service parts and align efforts towards company sustainability goals at all facilities.
Engaging & Inspiring strong team of Supervisors and individuals that are committed to support the Part Operations ambition plans
Support Development, engagement efforts for Staff leveraging Deere career development tools and thus create good talent pipeline for the Region and Business

Candidate Requirements
Education:
Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Arts discipline or equivalent experience. – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Desired:
Experience working in one or more operations support functions such as warehousing, logistics, etc. (4 – 7 years)
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and scheduling. (4 – 7 years)
Broad experience in manufacturing, engineering, customer relationships, marketing, sales and/or supply management. (8 – 10 years)
Experience in supervising technical, professional and administrative employees (4 – 7 years)
Experience supervising production employees. (4 – 7 years)
