What is PetroSA?
The Petroleum Oil and Gas Company of South Africa (SOC) Limited (PetroSA) is South Africa’s national oil corporation and is a commercial entity under South African law.
PetroSA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Central Energy Fund (CEF), which reports to the Department of Energy.
The firm has a portfolio of assets throughout the petroleum value chain, with all activities conducted in accordance with world-class safety and environmental standards.
PetroSA was founded in 2002 as a result of the merging of Soekor E and P (Pty) Limited, Mossgas (Pty) Limited, and portions of the Strategic Fuel Fund, another CEF subsidiary.
What is This Internship Program?
This internship program will give recent graduates the chance to enter the working world in their chosen profession and gain much-needed experience and exposure to the field all while being under the supervision of a notable and esteemed institution.
PetroSA provides Internship opportunities to students and graduates in order for them to better grasp the theories, ideas, and practices of their subject or major by actively participating in a “hands-on,” work-based, learning experience within the Petrochemical sector. The internship program lasts twelve (12) months and is available in the following disciplines:
1. Management Accounting X 2
Accounting analysis and provides cost information to the internal management for the purpose of planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and decision making. It measures the real performance in assessment with the budgets and helps management in such a method that the latter can maximize the rate of return on capital employed.
2. Human Resource X 2 (Of which 1 candidate must be from a TVET College)
Human Resource Management will provide the following exposure:

3. Internal Audit X 3
Internal Auditors have the responsibility to evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations. Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce and mitigate those risk.
4. Information Technology X 3
Provides a wide range of services to support, fix, and maintain the hardware and software of an organization’s computer systems.
Will also be required to install, troubleshoot, test, or help roll out security features, hardware, and software, or maintain networks and computer systems.
