PACKING SUPERVISOR – CMT
A CMT Company based in Mobeni, is seeking a Packing Supervisor in a Production environment.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Blanket Packing Factory Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packing department in our blanket manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of production processes, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise a team of packing department employees, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement operational procedures for the packing department to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the required quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products leaving the packing department meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Monitor inventory levels of packing materials and work with purchasing department to ensure that sufficient quantities of materials are available.
• Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
• Matric, a Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required.
